Pre-feasibility study: integrated solid waste management system Medjerda-Valley

The Tunisian Government is aiming on improving the current solid waste disposal situation in the Medjerda Valley, the commercial and agricultural centre of Tunisia. Improved standards of waste disposal, however, require a co-operation among different municipalities and governorates to reduce specific costs. In close co-operation with ANPE IU is elaborating and evaluating different alternatives for future waste treatment and disposal in the Medjerda Valley. Focus of the project is the definition of appropriate catchment areas for waste management facilities according to a logistic system.
