Beijing Nangong Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Plant Comments and Addenda to the Feasibility Study

Under the theme of “Green Olympics” Beijing is undertaking considerable efforts to improve the municipal solid waste management (SWM) system. One component of the planned activities is the realization of a waste to energy (waste incineration) plant adjacent to the Nangong composting plant in the South of Beijing until 2008.

KfW, having already supported realization of the Nangong composting plant, is going to provide assistance for the Nangong incineration plant as well. In December 2004, Infrastruktur & Umwelt, was commissioned to assist Beijing Municipal Administration Commission (BMAC) in the preparation of the feasibility study.
