Solid Waste Management Masterplan Tbilisi Municipality, Georgia

Tbilisi, the Capital of Georgia, is a Metropolitan City with a population of almost 1.5 Mio. Waste Management Services in recent years became a very important topic. In September 2006 Infrastruktur & Umwelt has been assigned to support Tbilisi Municipality with the elaboration of an Integrated Solid Waste Management Concept. This concept shall define the strategies and steps towards an improved SWM system.

Besides the technical aspects, priorities of the consultancy are the organisational aspects (incl. Private Sector Participation) and cost recovery.
