Development cooperation

Urbanization is a worldwide phenomenon. Urban settlements are virtually exploding particularly in developing and newly industrializing countries, not only because of natural population growth but also because of rural-urban migration. Central supply and disposal systems developed in the industrialized countries in the early 20th century, are insufficiently flexible for this development and have lost their exemplary character even in industrialized countries, where demographic change is less dramatic.

European and international institutions and organizations in developing and newly industrializing countries value INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT advisory services, because they go beyond the engineering and technical aspects of a project. We work across disciplinary borders in order to include modifications of the existing institutional and legal framework. In this way we contribute to the improvement of the living conditions in our partner countries and thus support the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals. At the same time we promote the use of innovative technologies in newly industrializing and developing countries.

INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT supports the development of adaptive and flexible infrastructure systems so that future-oriented supply and disposal is provided economically and in consonance with the environment.
